COVID-19 Update - RoF and FLT 2020 Postponed
It is with great disappointment and sadness that we have to announce that the 2020 Ring O' Fire (RoF) and Firelighter (FLT) races have
been postponed until next summer. Wales remains closed to visitors and we have no idea when it will be possible to stage a sporting event,
let alone one like RoF where many runners are together for several days, which includes sleeping in community halls.
The unprecedented events due to COVID-19 mean we simply cannot safely organise the race this year.
What's the plan?
The 2020 RoF and FLT races have been postponed. We have transferred everyone's RoF and FLT entries to the next event in the summer of next
year. 2021 will be the 10th anniversary of RoF and 5th anniversary of the FLT - we promise this anniversary event will be the best yet!
When will the event now take place?
RoF will take place on 3-5 September 2021 FLT will take place on 3 September 2021.
What action do I have to take?
No action is required. Your entry to RoF or FLT has been automatically been rolled over.
Can I still cancel my entry?
Yes, but we'd love you to stick with us if you can. Although our terms state refunds will not be offered under circumstances outside the organisers control, we will allow you to cancel and
receive 60% refund if you wish. Additionally, we have extended the dates so you can receive a 60% refund until 1 July 2021. We hope this additional flexibility will help as we understand these are difficult times.
How do I cancel my entry?
It is your responsibility to arrange a refund. You can do this by logging into your registered account As many of you know, RoF is a grassroots
event organised by a dedicated team from Anglesey who have a true passion for adventure and running. Everyone involved are friends, family or
former RoF runners. We are gutted to have to send this email to you all but these are unprecedented circumstances outside our control.
We hope to see you all at the start-line in 2021 if you can make it!
We have always said so long as the runners keep coming, we'll keep the fire burning!
In the meantime, take care, keep well and stay strong.
Bing & Q
What do people say about us?
"It was funny because a lot of the racers were surprised that we had travelled all that distance to do a race in Wales especially when we have such great trails near home - but it was well worth the travel and the scenery was equal in beauty but different - something that we can't get at home - and the people aspect of the race is what really threw the race over the top for us as one of the best."
