Ring O’ Fire Relay – New for 2026

Event Date: 04 - 06 September 2026

Share the journey.
For the first time, teams of 2 to 4 runners can take on the full Ring O’ Fire course as a relay. Covering 130 miles around Ynys Môn / the Isle of Anglesey, each team shares the challenge by passing a GPS tracker—their baton—at official checkpoints. Whether you’re chasing the fastest team title or simply want to experience the race together, the relay offers a new way to be part of the Ring O’ Fire adventure.

Team Structure

  • Teams of 2 to 4 runners
  • Mixed gender teams welcome. There are no gender-based categories or restrictions.
  • No runner substitutions allowed once the race begins. Once the race officially starts, the runners listed on your team are locked in. You cannot swap in a new runner—even if someone gets injured, tired, or drops out. Only the original team members who registered can participate throughout the event.
  • Transfer to a substitute runner is available until 1st August 2026. It is the team’s responsibility to arrange this via their registered account. No transfers will be accepted after this date.

No. Charity entries are not available for relay teams.

What happens if one of our relay team drops out just before the race and we’re left with only one runner?
To take part in the Ring O’ Fire Relay, teams must have a minimum of two runners. If a teammate withdraws and no replacement can be found before the 1 August 2026 transfer window, the team will unfortunately need to withdraw from the relay category. A solo runner cannot complete the relay alone. In some cases, it may be possible to transfer the remaining runner to the solo Ring O’ Fire or Firelighter event—subject to availability, price adjustment and approval.
